Salsa Verde / Green Tomatillo

Ingredients

10 tomatillos
3 jalapeƱos
1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 avocado
1 poblano pepper (optional)
salt
pepper

Directions

1. Husk and wash the tomatillos, and rough chop the onion.
2. Place tomatillos, jalapeƱos,onion and poblano pepper if using on a rack under the broiler in the oven, or on a grill. Cook 3-4 minutes per side until charred and cooked through.
3. In a blender, mix all ingredients and salt and pepper to taste.
